Hand picked for a 15 day time frame in the month of August, these tomatoes are supremely ripe and fantasmagorically fresh (and we don’t care if that’s not a real word).

Terra Amore & Fantasia are from an ancient variety local to Puglia and because they are particularly difficult to grow (and relatively low yielding) they were slowly disappearing from the fields of Italy until Sabatino discovered them and decided to preserve their excellent flavor. Produced in limited quantities and picked only for 15 days during the month of August when perfectly ripe and fleshy, these Terra Amore & Fantasia are among the best tomatoes money can buy.


Since these are whole tomatoes they are better paired with hardier noodles like rigatoni and pappardelle with more robust meets like oxtail, lamb or duck. These are also great for slow braise soups or stocks.
