The Mud Australia Porcelain Collection has been designed to combine the durability, finesse and beauty of porcelain and a clearly hand made finish. Each piece is handmade by the Mud staff of professional and amateur ceramicists. The pigment is tinted in the porcelain at the slip stage to provide color depth and then clear glaze is applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling and use. Each piece is handmade in Sydney from either Limoges or imperial porcelain.

All ceramic and glassware are susceptible to cracking when moved from a very hot environment to a very cold environment. This is called thermal shock and should be avoided when using your pieces. For example, avoid taking mud australia from a hot oven or microwave and putting it on a cold stone bench.
