Trapini sea salt is harvested along the low waters of the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Sicily from a careful combination of the hot Sicilian sun and the strong African winds. Produced from a small mill called “moranella” or “chiusa,” built in 1884 and placed inside the natural preserve of Trapani, this salt is managed by the WWF (the nature protection group WWF, World Wide Fund for Nature) to ensure that every grain meets their standards of precision and quality.
