History of Product –
While historians think the traditional Spaghetti alla Puttanesca originated somewhere in the Bay of Naples circa the mid-twentieth century, the truth is, no one really knows where this dish came from or how it came into being. What we do know is that it quickly gained esteem as Italy’s version of gumbo –that is, a composition of a whole bunch of different ingredients. And so came it’s reputation as the “whore styled pasta,” unabashedly incorporating ingredients from hither and yon coming together to form a breadth of flavor sensations from salty to tangy to spicy.
Use it as the base of a gourmet pizza and top it with wild mushrooms and a few fried eggs.
