Run by Giovanni Leonardi and his son Francesco a few miles north of the town of Modena, Acetaia Leonardi is dedicated to the art of aceto balsamico. The vinegars are made on their family farm and housed in the attic of the barn where they are matured. As each balsamic is Consorzio certified –the government’s way of maintaining authenticity for traditional balsamics –they are all packaged in the trademark Giugiaro bottle with the Leonardi label on one side and the Consorzio label on the other.
