While it was originally established in 1920 in Abruzzi in the small town of Ofena, it wasn't until Antonio Cataldi Madonna began renewing the facilities in 1968, that it became the winery it is known as today. Now run by his son, Luigi Cataldi Madonna, the families wine producing philosophy continues to be upheld: work to safeguard and enhance the natural characteristics of the grapes inherent in the land.


We like this 2009 Cataldi Madonna Trebbiano d'Abruzzo as an extremely versatile food-pairing wine that does just as well with roasted chicken as it does with a light summer salad. Anything with honey as an ingredient is amazing.
