In the 19th century Luigi Ferraris went to America during the Gold Rush. After successfully striking in 1921, he sent money back to his wife in Italy who then purchased a house in Via al Castello. Not until 1923 did Luca Ferraris' grandfather purchase a small hut surrounded by 40k meters of land called "Il Casot". It was here that Martino planted vines and purchased barrels to start his own wine production. Today, Lucca Ferraris represents the family's vineyard and aims to pay homage to their tradition while continuing to push the envelope with the type of experimentation that is unrivaled in most of Torino.

We like this 2008 Ferraris Ruche di Castagnole with rabbit stew or gnocchi with a cream based safron sauce
