Region: Piedmont
Variety: Dolchetto
Size: 750 ml
Dating back to the late 1700's, the Pecchenino wine estate has been passed down from generation to generation. It wasn’t until 1987 that the farm acquired it’s full 25 hectares of land under the current owners Orlando and Attilio Pecchenino. With 22 hectares in the Dogliani region, the vast majority of their grapes are Dolcetto, though they also planted other vines like Barbera, Nebbiolo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The remaining 3 hectares in Monforte d'Alba are dedicated solely to Barolo.
We like this 2007 Pecchenino Dogliani Siri d Jermu with a rosemary pork chop on top of white beans and charred radicchio.
