New 2007 Dino Illuminati Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Zanna from Abruzzo


This 2007 Dino Illuminati Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Zanna red wine is a deep, dark plum Montepulciano with hints of eastern spices, leather and a touch of vanilla on the finish from French oak. This is one of the larger Montepulcianos around and should reward the patient cellarer.

Around 1890, Nicola Illuminati took up the hobby of wine-growing and set up the winery "Fattoria Nicò". He later passed the tradition down to his grandon Dino who took up the cause with fervor. Following the same methods and skills of his grandfather, Dino Illuminati now carries on the cultural tradition of making great wine.
