This 2006 Monte dall Ora Valpolicella Ripasso "Sausto" red wine from Veneto is spicy with black pepper and raspberry fruit in a medium to large bodied frame. It's a wine with plenty of acid to stand up to food but is much silkier than their regular Valpolicella.

Located on a small hillside in Valpolicella, Monte Dall’ Ora is an organic vineyard where grapes have been cultivated dating as far back as the 5th century. Now managed by Carlo Venturini and Alesandra Zantedeshi, the estate has been restructured and renovated to hilight all of the regions natural characteristics and highlights.


We love this 2006 Monte dall Ora Valpolicella Ripasso "Sausto" with a breaded veal chop and winter herbs or gamier meats seasoned with plenty of black pepper.
