Varietal: Terrano
Region: Friuli
Size: 750ml
Over the past 4 generations Parovel evolved from a small company that shipped olive oil to Vienna in the 19th century to one of the largest wine producers in the Carso DOC. The twenty hectares of land (10 to vineyards and 10 to olive trees) are now managed by Zoran and his two children, Euro and Elena. In respponse to the extreme climates of the region the yield is relatively low at just 25,000 bottles a year, but the grapes that are harvested have a unique and sought after character that’s hard to find elsewhere.
You heard us, this 2004 Parovel Terrano sort of reminds us of a poblano pepper stuffed with beef, so why not pair it with that and see what happens. Soul mates!
