2004 La Colombera Sucaija Red Wine from Piedmont

This 2004 La Colombera Sucaija Red Wine from Piedmont is tart and bright with raspberries. The low tannins and damp earth undertones make this wine an excellent accompaniment to heavier beef dishes.

Elisa Semino’s La Colombera is a humble operation of around 20 hectares of vineyards in the small town of Tortona. Their vines, which reach around 280 meters above sea level based in a multi colored clay soil, produce native varietals like Timorasso, known for their minerality on the nose with a soft and elegant structure.

We like this 2004 La Colombera Sucaija with beef stew or rump roast.
