Settled along the left bank of the Piave River in Veneto, Cacchetto winery boasts alluvium rich soil of clay, silt and sand from the river that has produced one of the most respected varietals in this region, the Raboso grape. Since Giorgio took the reigns from his father, he has dedicated his skills and education to perfecting their native varietal with the hopes of achieving a popularity and appreciation beyond its local borders. He transformed the grape from harsh and nearly undrinkable to what Luigi Veronelli once described as "charming" and "structured".
