We are constantly writing Cube + Kabocha in our school notebook. We love Kabocha Squash. Correction; we luvvvvvv it. Kabocha is commonly called a "Japanese pumpkin" and is hard, shaped like a squatty pumpkin, and has a deep green skin with white-colored stripes and an intense yellow-orange color on the inside. To us, it tastes like a cross between a butternut squash and a pumpkin. It has such a good flavor all by itself that we merely enhance it in this lovely fall inspired soup. Nothing is added but fresh roasted kabocha, carrots, onions and spices. Soon you’ll be writing how much you love Kabocha in your notebook. Nerd.

Is there anything more like home than Tomato Soup? Soup itself is as old as history. Early caveman were surely making brontosaurus soup. And the tomato has had a tumultuous history, once thought to be poisoness and deadly, it quickly made a comeback feeding the poor throughout Europe and America. We can’t think of anything better than a hot bowl of tomato soup on a cool fall day, or when we have a cold, or when there are extra fish crackers lying around that need a good float. Well, a toasted cheese would make it better. We’ll have ours with the crusts please. Made with San Marzano tomatoes, cream, and just the right amount of salt this Velvety Tomato soup is just the right cure for what ails you. Be it the sniffles or a bad batch of brontosaurus soup.
