Tropea Onions are a sweet and mild red onion, famously grown in the unique terroir of Tropea - located in the southern Calabria region of Italy. They are known as torpedo onions because of their bulbous shape that resembles a torpedo.  Ciacco is located in the village of Moneu Roero, in the Piedmont region of Italy. This area is world-famous for its wine and black and white truffles. We love this jelly whisked in gravies or used in braising liquid.  Also nice with salumi plates, pate, or as a spread on panini.
