Maida Masseria Maida is located in Campania, near the Cilento National Park and just around the majestic ruins of Paestum. The favorable soil and climate of this region of Italy allow Francesco to grow fruit and vegetables of the highest quality and flavor. A mix of innovation and tradition characterizes Francesco's production: freshly-picked vegetables becomes “sott’olii” when packed in the excellent extra virgin olive oil from Cilento and canned in his modern facility built right next to the farm.
For his signature “antipasto” Francesco selects a melange of fresh vegetables: lightly pickled pumpkin, unusual in most Italian antipasti mixed with small chunks of eggplants, peppers, artichokes, celery, olives and zucchine, immersed in Cilento extra virgin olive oil, and flavored with some white wine vinegar, origano, chili pepper and sea salt.
