Description
Ames Farm

Single Source Honey is collected over one specific time period, from one unique geographical location and from one single hive. Ames Farm keeps their 300 hives in 18 different locations in several counties across Minnesota. The major flower source being visited by the bees during the time period they are producing the honey is assigned as the name of the honey variety. Each container of honey is searchable in the Ames Farm bee yard database, using the hive number and location printed on the side of every container. The database provides information about the geographical location where the honey was collected, the time period it was produced and the individual flavor profile.

Ames Farm Filmore Co. Wildflower Honey
This honey is gathered from Forestville, the area is a mix of forest and meadows interspersed with some cropland. The forests have a mix of wild apples, numerous nut trees and other hardwoods. The bees sit atop of a tall bluff and ravine with a southern exposure overlooking a meadow. I want to be one of these bees. The honey is perfectly sweet with undertones of cinnamon and spice and a perfume of meadow flowers. The crystallized texture melts in your mouth. I like to eat this honey with a spoon and envy those bees on their tall bluff. I can almost feel the spring breeze. Our favorite Ames Honey here at Cube.
