It’s starting to get cold and we can now reasonably justify having a nice hot cup of cocoa before bed. But before you get ahead of yourself we’re going to lay down the law: real gourmands (like you!) do NOT buy the over processed packets of stuff at the stores… they make their own.

This Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe is quick, easy and when jarred and tied with a bow, makes a great gift, too.

We suggest you serve it alongside our Pumpkin Pie Recipe with Kabocha Squash and Mascarpone Cheese or this Poached Pear and Hazelnut Tart.

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe

***To make your cocoa mix lactose free, substitute non-dairy creamer for powdered milk, and use water, soy milk or almond milk instead of milk.
